license to kill November 19, 2008 wow just wow this game is both fun and challenging at points........
the graphics are a small step up from orginal wii games but yet they still suck and the single campain is fun but not good but the online is amazing...
i thought this game would be crap after playing 2 levels of the campain but i decided to go aganist some people and it was fun 2 vs 2 which may sound bad but it gets pretty intense after a bit .
although your hands look like 1998 legned of zelda oot (links hands) which can be kind of annoying .
the weapons are noting super special but the awsome at the same time . the best thing about this game would have to be the wifi here is a run through
there are 4 different things you can choose conflict single or team and rush single or team
RUSH is a objective thing were you run to a golden gun or somehting and you have to be the very first person there collect all the parts you get points and so on and so on conflict is basically deathmatch which is my favorite
there are 8 classes bomber, vetern, assiasan, mercernary, hench men,00 agent, and a couple more they all have there ups and downs my favrite is vetern just because good health and a good weapon but it all depands on what your best at
POINTS you start out with 5000 points and every match you get first place in you get 100 poinits and if you lose (get in second place) then you lose so many points depanding on how many players there are max number of points is 9999 which is hard to get but i have got 9999 points before so its not that hard
THIS GAME IS NOT FOR JUSY HARDCORE GAMERS ITS FOR CASUAL TO
PROS: onine multiplayer weapons char. there are alot more i mean alot morebut i cant think f them right now CONS:graphics are moderate n cars the single campain could have bee better only like 3 levls from quantum of solace all the rest are casnio royal
thast my reveiw this game gets a 4 out of 5 but i gave it a 5 because its a good fps
ONLINE Multiplayer Makes the Game! November 16, 2008 For me, the Single player mode is a waste of time, I've played about an hour of single player mode, maybe 4 levels in...
The Online multiplayer is awesome! I've played about 25 hours online since I got the game last week. Its that addicting and well made. Its clear to me that they spent more time developing the multiplayer than the single player mode, and that was the RIGHT move! I've never had to wait more than a minute to get a match, you don't need friend codes to play. You can choose "play anyone" and pick right up with 3 other online players. Yes, its only 4 players in a match, there were rumors that it was going to be 12, but I've played non-stop, and never been in a match with more than 4 people. But, 4 people seems to be perfect, not too much, and not too little. You can play teams as well, 2 on 2 or 3 vs. 1, you can switch teams at any point in the match, which depending on how you feel, is a good or bad thing. Online matches last 15 minutes, the levels are very cool and they also put in the Facility from Goldeneye, with an updated and expanded look.
I just got CoD: WaW the other day, and while its amazing, I honestly think QoS online is a slightly bit better. I say this because I love the "A" button duck and cover move with QoS, its a great tactic to use while playing others in multiplayer. And QoS uses the same engine as CoD, so switching classes in a match, etc all are in QoS.
Its no Goldeneye of course, I don't think anything will ever compare to it. But I think its as good as Nightfire and TWINE in the multiplayer department and takes the cake for #2 all-time Bond game, just because of the multiplayer! Get this game for the Wii!!!!
The names.. Bond.. James Bond. November 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Quantum of Solace is one of the best bond games. It is first person/third person shooter, When you crouch behind a wall or an object, it switches into third person and you can see bond. Quantum of Solace consists of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace which you can play through both movies!. The missions are interesting and very fun to play. The multiplayer is very fun when you have four friends.Playing online mode using Nintendo WFC you can connect online and play for free and is one of the best parts of the game. The Graphics and voice acting is really good and the music is great making you feel like you are playing bond. The controls are really simple and fun to play. Overall Quantum of Solace is in my opinion is one of best bond games and overall I'd give it a 9.0/10 buy this game!
waste of money November 10, 2008 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
to put it bluntly this game is pathetic. its full of glitches and one so bad that it will not let you finish the train mission. im on my third copy and best buy wont give me my money back because its opened, but if you cant finish a game because of glitches wouldn't that be considered broken? but i digress let me move on to game play. the auto aim is horrible and will get you killed way more than it ever helps you. its a rectangle box that you cant move from target to target during a shootout w/out letting off the z button and turning bonds whole body toward where you want to re target. so it many times targets a guy behind a crate who you cant shoot until he pops up anyway, but then theres a guy to the left or right shooting at you from out in the open and many times killing you because you cant move the target over quickly like in EON. it also targets propane tanks and such all the time instead of actual enemies. which is ok if its done only in a bond sence type thing like EON, that way you can chose. next is the health meter, its brought over from COD unfortunately. this heath meter shouldn't be in any game unless your wolverine or some other character w/ a healing factor. bond is not 1 nor are COD marines. having to find cover every 2 seconds is so annoying, just have a regular heath meter and some body armor scattered around missions. and once your dead your dead! then you have the ai for the enemies which after the first mission just get repetitive and boring. after you just run through mission after mission killing a small army worth of guys who btw act like soldiers from COD not thugs. and as such it seems most of the time like your just clearing out bunkers from a COD knockoff w/ different graphics. i know this was built off a COD platform but i think 007 is a big enough title to have its own platform and maybe have other games designed off it. also when you use 1 platform for many games the player shouldn't be able to detect it so easily. the hand to hand is basically 1 button push, w/ very little imput from you. and theres no combinations or different ways to take out enemies like in EON. the missions themselves have the occasional cool part but those are few and far between. and overall this is the most restrictive 007 ever, its go here/ do this/ kill this/ etc. w/ very little imput from the game player. theres no 2 ways of doing something and therefore very boring and easily forgettable. theres more but i think ill leave it at that for a store web page. i never thought id long for the days of EA making bond again. they had more misses that hits but they did have EON. if QOS is the future of this series this just might kill it. oh and on a side note for bond fans this has almost nothing to do w/ QOS, it should be called casino royale if anything.
Not a Goldeneye Replacement November 8, 2008 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
First I'd like to say that if you're looking for a good first person shooter game, this one is one of the best I've played on the Wii; go ahead and get this one. If you're a fan of Goldeneye or Perfect Dark, and thinking this will be equal to those games as far as fun factor and multi-player variety goes, you will be disappointed, and read further as to why.
The Single player part of Goldeneye was so much fun! I'd play some of the levels again and again, just because you could complete them in so many different ways. Also, to unlock any of the cheats, you had to complete levels in certain times, which made me eagerly retry levels over and over. Perfect Dark was the same way, but the levels weren't nearly as fun. As far as I can tell, this game doesn't have anything like that, and I wouldn't really want to play the levels over and over anyway.
I bought a Nintendo 64 because of Goldeneye. What really sold me when playing it in the store was the realism they were able to accomplish. No, the graphics weren't that great by today's standards, but you could interact with the terrain. Shots left bullet holes, and sounded different based on what you were shooting at. You could blow up things like tables and windows and computers by shooting at them. You get none of this realism in Quantum of Solace, bullets don't leave a mark, and none of the terrain is destroyable, and I believe they really missed the mark here.
Here's the big reason: Multi-player variety. In Goldeneye, you had so many different choices for multi-player. You could have heavy weapons in the Temple, or pistols in the facility. When you added cheats into the mix, you just got even more variety. Perfect Dark was even better. You could pick each individual weapon in each game, which made the variety almost infinite. You could also change your health level, which was great to level the field, as a newbie could play a veteran and not be crushed and frustrated. In Perfect Dark they even added Simulants, computer opponents that added even more variety to the scenarios you could create. And one more thing, you actually ran around and found the different weapons, which made it fun because you could strategically place certain weapons in certain places. Again, you get none of this in Quantum of Solace. You pick your person, you get one pistol and one rifle, nothing extra to pick up, and no choice as to your health level. And there are only two choices of games to choose from, versus the many different choices in both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.
I still have my Nintendo 64, just because it's so much fun to play Goldeneye and Perfect Dark when I have friends over. I was hoping this game would be it's modern replacement, and sadly, it's not.
