Product Description Do you have what it takes to be a "Five-Star" chef? Hell's Kitchen is a TV phenomenon featuring world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay putting aspiring chefs through rigorous culinary tests. The game recreates the show's pressure-cooker atmosphere as you complete a series of kitchen and dining room challenges. Fulfilling an order requires three important phases - preparation, cooking and service, all of which you must master to progress. Prepare ingredients, cook them to the correct quality and get food out of the kitchen on time. Each complete meal is scored by Chef Gordon Ramsay to make the kitchen boot camp experience come alive.

what you get for the money November 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little bit disappointed with this game. The graphics are good, and it is reminiscent of the t.v show, but the game is really short. I beat the whole game after about 4 total hours of playing, and it isn't exactly one of those games that is interesting enough to keep playing even after you beat it.
True Hell in the Kitchen!!! October 30, 2008 If you are expected a deep complicated game then you had better look elsewhere.
There is really nothing to this game once you get the basics down, which will take about 5 minutes.
You can breeze through the whole game in a few hours and after that there is really no reason at all to play it again.
I read that Gordon Ramsey personally oversaw the production of the game and I find it hard to beleive he would put his name on this at all.
You want a slightly more challenging cooking game then try Order Up.
Not so good October 23, 2008 I bought this game and was not very satisfied. Not much to it really. Just clicking things in order. I wish there was more too it like having to advertise your restaurant or decorate it. It's more of a game to rent at the video store than to buy.
Excited to Disappointed October 22, 2008
Pros: Recipes made on the game are available, so can make them in real life Cons: Doesn't utilize the wii remotes, not acually cooking, not using indgredients, repetative commentary
Our household is a huge Gordon Ramsey fan, and a fan of his television shows, includding the ones on FOX and BBC, I was very excited about seeing this game after getting my wii. I believe this may be the first game that I ever pre-ordered. I was excited about the description about cooking and being under pressure. Upon playing the game I was rather dissapointed. The wii remote is only used as a pointer. The game does not utilize the motion sensing of the wii mote. I was under the impression that I would be stirring or making cooking motions. This is not the case. Intstead you have general ingredients, poultry, red meat, vegetables and breads/grains. The same ingredients are used for Apps, mains and desserts. Orders consist of combining thes generic ingredients in the pans and trying to time when to put the items for each dish in the pan at specific times to ensure they finish at the same time. Seating the customers and taking their orders consists of clicking on the greeter's podium, then clicking on their talbe to take the order. Also the commentary is very repetative, if you play two or three simulated days, you will probably hear most of the comments by Ramsey. Basically this games is a big recipe bank. I'll play it more, and most likely keep it, but if you think you are buying a cooking game that you'll be stirring and flipping foods, you are not. The challenging part is trying to make sure you get the bowls in the pans in the proper order to ensure dishes finish at the same time.
Good, but rather slow for Wii October 15, 2008 The game is interesting but is rather slow in pace for a Wii game experience. I think I would like the ds version better.
