Who Designed This Rod? December 26, 2008 My wife got this game for Christmas, and when I went to assemble the rod, it took me all of 10 seconds to realize the rod can't work. When you snap the Wii controller into the rod, the plastic rod housing completely blocks the controller sensor window, rendering the pole useless. How could anybody expect this to work constructed that way? Didn't anybody test this thing before marketing it? I am tempted to get out my Dremel and cut the panel out entirely, but that isn't going to guarantee proper signal reception and might also weaken the rod to the point it will be as useless as it is now. Isn't anybody else having this problem, or did they just forget to cut a hole in my rod?
misleading November 23, 2008 the box says that it comes with a free controller, but it really doesn't. it comes with the pole holder for the controller.
Arcade Style August 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is just OK up until you hook a fish then it becomes just another arcade game. You have to follow the screen prompts very quickly if you hope to land a fish and that is where it loses any similarity to actual fishing. I found the fishing rod to be bulky and unweildy as did my grandson. Had I seen a realistic review of this game beforehand I think I would have waited until it dropped in price a great deal.

Product arrived on time and in good condition. Seems to be a fun game but does have some bugs that need to be worked out. Gameplay sticks in some places.
Fun game to play and to watch!! July 8, 2008 My husband and 12 year old love to play, and my 7 year old and I love to watch. Lots of fun. We did not have any of the problems we had read about with the fishing rod. We're able to use it with no problem, while others had written that they couldn't make the controller work while inserted into the rod.
