Do Not Purchase this game! It's a Waste of Money in Comparison to Others January 5, 2009 I have played many hunting games, and to date, this is by far the worst one that I have purchased. Even the original Big Game Hunter that I own from a long, long time ago has better game play for the money. On top of this, the original Deer Hunter was even a better investment. If you want to actually get your money's worth for a hunting game, I recommend either Hunting Unlimited 2008/2009 because of the vast expansiveness of the game and additional features that can be added on, or pick up Deer Hunter Tournament. These games cost really no more (in fact I bought HU2008 for the exact same price)as this terribly designed game and poor excuse for an addition to the Big Game Hunter series. In fact, the only Cabela's game I would recommend is the original Dangerous Hunts...It kept me ammused for about a month.
Big Game Hunter 2009 is a bit of a let down December 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my husband who, in the past, has loved the Cabela's Big Game series for the PC. This game, however, was a huge disappointment to him. He has gone back to his previous versions of Cabela's for his computer hunting entertainment.

The graphics are not badly done, although the gaming is a bit on the predictable side as to where to fight, etc. Depending on the level played; Novice, Normal, Expirenced, it does give a challenge. When so many companies are no longer seeming to make hunting games, at least Cabela's does remember those of us who happen to purchase games such as these and does do it's best to keep us entertained! Over all; I would say it is worth the price to buy.
