Mediocre at best w/o balance board & awful with it! January 5, 2009 I was given this game for Christmas to go along with the Wii Fit balance board. As we had initial problems integrating the balance board, we first played the game w/o the board. The game was mildly entertaining but both my wife and I felt like it lacked any depth or skill. The wii-mote controls, actions, and interactions with the game to complete certain events were often boring, bland, or just downright ridiculous. Some of the individual games were entertaining, but others were horribly boring. In addition, the player graphics not pretty, and the voice overs got repetitive and annoying very quickly.
Once we included the balance board we found that the game became much worse. Perhaps I need to do some configuring or just need to get used to the board controls, but overall I would say that it seemed like a poor integration with the game.
For 25$, if you want a simple sports game to try, sure why not. But if you are looking for something that does a good job of incorporating the balance board controls into the game, I'd save your money and try something else.
