My daughter asked for a DS. Since I have twins I also bought one for my son. He did not ask for it, but it turned out to be his FAVORITE gift! Way to go Santa!!
Nintendo ds lite Mario Edition with Mario game January 8, 2009
Christmas present for my 7 yr old daughter. I wasn't sure she was old enough for it yet but she is. She really loves playing the game that came with it(Super Mario). You can buy games to suit their age.

Its sweet! The best DS out there! Works the same but has a nice smooth surface and looks good. My son got one for Christmas and as we went over for a family dinner all of the other kids got one as well, but he was the only one with the Mario DS and all the kids were jealous. Plus the game is super fun 5 Stars here!
To DS or Not to DS January 8, 2009
Amazon does it again. Price, shipping, everything was great. The DS is great and given as a gift. Hour after hour of fun for everyone. Who needs a big box store. I you know what you want then buy it on Amazon.
About the DS bundle. The price point sold this unit. Nintendo does it's homework and always seems to get it right.

I bought the nintendo ds for my husband and myself for Christmas. I received 4 games as presents and am having fun learning. It's so easy to use and I think it's a good way to keep my mind active and have fun at the same time.
