Wacky Races is an action racing game like no other, with fun-filled environments, crazy cars and hilarious characters. The game features all the characters and cars from the TV series including old favorites: Turbo Terrific driven by Peter Perfect, the Ant Hill Mob in their Bullet Proof Bomb, Penelope Pitstop, and the Mean Machine driven by Dick Dastardly and his sidekick, Muttley. Players join Dick Dastardly and the gang, racing across a variety of action-packed and colorful cross-country rallies from the TV series. Racers watch out for traps and speed ahead to win the ultimate title of World's Wackiest Racer!  This game doesn't deserve the one star I was forced to give it! December 31, 2008
I can't believe a software company would actually publish this! The graphics and gameplay are just plain bad. The graphics remind me of a game from the original Nintendo NES 8-bit system. I think I lasted one race before taking this game back to the video store. Glad I didn't buy it. If you want an excellent racing game please buy Mario Kart!
 Disappointing December 29, 2008
I'll try not to repeat what everyone else said but overall my suggestion is to rent or wait for the discount rack price. My 7yo son picked this one and we played it maybe an hour and hasn't looked at it since. The best part is that the cartoons are cute. That's the only good thing I can say and why I didn't give it a one star which I seriously considered.
The race is in the third person across the screen and it really is not a race. You can never get too far ahead or too far behind. Basically the game stops a few times for a mini game where the bad guys plant traps and you have to play a minigame to get past. However, there are only 4 minigames so you do the same ones over and over. If you win it puts you in first, if you lose it puts you in last which really doesn't matter because at the end it is a sprint and you pretty much all start off close together regardless of what position you were in during the "race". Also, the graphics are just terrible other than the cartoons.
For the people who gave this game a good rating they either work for the company or were smoking something funny. Save your money.

Wow, this game is bad. My husband and I tried it and lasted about two races. Instead of a 1st-person racer like the awesome Mario Kart, this is a third person racer. Good luck picking your car out of the big tangle of tiny, poorly-rendered cars moving across the screen. The original cartoon has better graphics than this thing. Bad, bad, bad. If you really want to try it just rent it so you won't be disappointed that you paid 30-some dollars for this junk.

If you are going to get anything associted with this cartoon, get the complete series of this cartoon instead. Chances are you will enjoy that more than you will not enjoy playing this game. This is one of the most confusing racing games I have ever played. It scrolls from right to left which makes it difficult to tell where you are on the track and has mini games that should be simple but are incredibly difficult to complete.
Do yourself a favor and get any Hanna-Barbera cartoon instead of this game. You will be glad you avoided this confusing mess of a game and got and enjoyable cartoon instead.

Fun game, was kind of disapointed that you could not use the wheels in it.
The grandkids have fun with it.
